Experience & Qualifications

With over 24 years of experience teaching, supporting, and advocating for children with a wide range of additional needs and challenging behaviours, I bring both professional expertise and personal insight to my work. As a parent of two neurodiverse children, I understand the emotional journey families face and strive to create a compassionate, empowering environment for both children and caregivers.

This dual perspective allows me to connect deeply with families, offering tailored support that nurtures growth, confidence, and resilience.

Experience
Mainstream Primary School (11 years) I established and taught a Nurture Group Class, using Precision Teaching across Maths, Writing, Reading, Spelling, and cross-curricular subjects. As Lead Pastoral Support, I worked closely with Class Teachers to develop strategies that supported behaviour and learning for identified pupils. I delivered PSHE lessons and facilitated Drawing and Talking therapeutic sessions to help children with underlying emotional challenges. My practice has been continually enriched through regular workshops and courses focused on supporting children with additional needs.

Private Tutoring (4 years and counting) I currently tutor over 45 students, offering personalised academic and emotional support tailored to each child’s unique needs.
