Experience & Qualifications

Experience

I  have 23 years experience teaching, supporting and championing for children with a range of  additional needs and challenging behaviours. I am also a parent of two neurodiverse children. This duel perspective allows me to deeply understand the emotional journey families face and create a compassionate, empowering environment for both children and caregivers.

I have 11 years experience working within a Mainstream Primary School setting, where I set up and taught a Nurture Group Class using Precision Teaching for Maths, Writing, Reading, Spelling and Cross Curricular subjects.

I was the Lead Pastoral Support for the school and provided Class Teachers with strategies to support behaviour and learning for identified pupils.

I taught PSHE lessons and ran Drawing and Talking (therapeutic sessions) to support children with underlying emotional difficulties.

I have regularly attended workshops and courses for supporting children with additional needs which have complemented my practical work.

I have been working as a Private Tutor for nearly 4 years and currently have 45+ students.
